Charles Esten, also known as “Chip”, is an accomplished American actor, singer-songwriter and comedian.
He first became known to the wider public through his improvisational talents on the comedy show Whose Line Is It Anyway? between 1999 and 2005. In 2012, his career took on a major musical dimension when he landed the iconic role of Deacon Claybourne in the hit series Nashville.
This project allowed him to become part of the country music scene, perform his own songs and appear more than 180 times on the legendary Grand Ole Opry stage.
More recently, he made a strong impression as antagonist Ward Cameron in the Netflix series Outer Banks.
In January 2024, he released his acclaimed independent debut studio album, Love Ain’t Pretty World.

·        World Record (2018): Charles Esten made music history by earning the official title for the most consecutive weeks to release an original digital single by a music artist.
Through his #EverySingleFriday campaign, he wrote, recorded and released a new original song every Friday for 54 consecutive weeks.
